SELİMBEY APARTMENT BUILDING

The neighboring structure of the Galata Tower carries the typical neoclassical features of the 19th century. It was designed and built as a residence and guest house. The two buildings were redesigned to be joined and used together. As the workshop was used in the recent period, the structures that were damaged due to the sunrise were repaired and the non-original interventions were eliminated. With careful work, the interior of the building was demolished to a great extent, the interior walls and floors were built as reinforced concrete. The marble reliefs and the metal gate on the front of the building were cleaned and protected.
