OLD POSTAHAN
Old Postahan Former Posthahan, one of the original structures in Galata’s historical texture, was used as a post office and commercial center in the past. It has preserved its features since 1890.
The demolished parts of the structure, which was designed to function as an office building were built with reinforced concrete walls and the walls are strengthened.
The bridge floor and roof were demolished and reconstructed using vault barrel technique in accordance with the architectural texture. All fine works including movable furniture of the building were completed.
